Addo Elephant National Park – Eastern Cape

Addo Elephant National Park – Eastern Cape

🌿 Overview

Addo Elephant National Park is a world-renowned conservation success story and one of South Africa’s most accessible and diverse wildlife destinations. Originally founded in 1931 to protect just 11 elephants, Addo is now home to over 600 elephants, as well as lion, buffalo, black rhino, leopard, zebra, and more.

Covering over 1,640 square kilometers, the park offers visitors a chance to experience South Africa’s Big 7 (Big 5 + southern right whale & great white shark) thanks to its extension to include marine reserves along the coast.
